Bayport’s My Budget Booster offers you two products that work together to help you better manage your money. These products are a Bayport personal loan, My Quarterly Budget Booster and My Monthly Budget Boost.

As soon as your Bayport personal loan is active, you can apply for your My Quarterly Booster loan and My Monthly Booster facility online. My Quarterly Booster
The My Quarterly Budget Booster combines a Bayport personal loan with a cash flow boost every three months to help you manage your budget and reach your financial goals. It is available to new and existing customers with boosts of up to R2500*.

The My Monthly Budget Booster is a monthly cash-flow boost facility available to customers who already have a Bayport personal loan. With cash payments available at any time during the course of the month, the days of expensive payday loans are over. You can borrow between R500 and R1000 at 0% interest and no upfront fees*.

My Quarterly Booster

What is a My Quarterly Budget Booster loan?

  • A 3-month loan that attracts only 3% interest per month
  • You can borrow up to R2 500*
  • As long as you keep up with your Quarterly Booster repayments and your affordability remains positive, you could qualify for another boost every three months

How does it work?

  • You need to have an active or new Bayport personal loan
  • When taking out a Quarterly Booster loan, you will enter a new, standalone agreement with Bayport
  • If you decide to add a Quarterly Booster loan to your product basket, and you are opening a new personal loan at the same time, two separate amounts will be paid into your account if your loan amounts have been approved
  • Two separate repayments need to be made towards Bayport – one towards your personal loan and the second repayment towards your Quarterly Booster
  • As the Quarterly Booster loan is set at a 3-month term, you will need to pay three monthly instalments
  • Bayport Financial Services will contact you during the final month of the term about renewing your Quarterly Booster loan. You can qualify for another Quarterly Booster loan every three months as long as your affordability score remains positive and your repayments are made in a timely manner
  • The Quarterly Booster loan is dependent on your affordability. Subsequent Quarterly Boosters are not compulsory and if you’re not sure whether you would like a Quarterly Booster loan at the renewal stage, you can always apply for this product at any point provided you have a Bayport personal loan agreement
  • If you wish to apply for your next Quarterly Booster loan, you can also contact Bayport to start the application process
  • Upon renewal, your next Quarterly Booster loan will be paid into your account one day before your last instalment of the initial agreement is due

My Monthly Booster

What is My Monthly Budget Booster loan?

  • A monthly cash-flow boost facility available to customers who already have a Bayport personal loan
  • You can borrow between R500 and R1 000*
  • 0% interest and no upfront fees
  • As long as you stay up to date with your repayments, the money is available if you need a boost before payday, every month

How does it work?

  • By adding a My Monthly Budget Booster facility to your product basket, you will enter into a new, standalone agreement with Bayport, and make a separate repayment
  • Once your Monthly Booster facility has been approved, you will receive an SMS confirming that your Monthly Booster facility account has been opened. You can then then draw money by either contacting our call centre; using your cellphone through USSD prompts or via Bayport’s website. The money will be deposited into your bank account, becoming accesible within 24 hours
  • The instalment that you will have to pay for the Monthly Booster will only begin in the month that you first draw down
  • You can withdraw a minimum of R100 at a time up to any amount depending on your outstanding balance. In the months where you use the facility, you will pay a single, VAT inclusive fee of R46.50
  • You can draw the money as and when you need it, provided you have money available in your facility
  • We will try and collect the full outstanding balance plus fee from you on a monthly basis so that you can have access to the same funds when you need them in the following month
  • For example, if you have a facility limit of R1 000 and have drawn down R100 in that month, we will try recover the full R146.50 to set your balance to R0
  • If you are not able to pay the outstanding balance, you will be expected to pay back an instalment equal to 20% of your outstanding balance plus the R46.50 monthly charge for using the facility that month
  • You also have the option of settling the full outstanding balance or paying a monthly instalment of 20%. However, at minimum, you will be expected to pay back an instalment equal to 20% of your outstanding balance plus the R46.50 monthly charge for using the facility that month
  • As long as you stay up to date with your repayments, the money will be available if you need a boost before payday, every month

How do I access my money?

Once your My Monthly Budget Booster facility has been approved, you can draw money by dialling *120*327*111# on your cellphone. This will load the USSD menu and then you simply follow the prompts. You need to be connected to your cellular network provider to use the monthly booster USSD drawdown facility, which is available on all South African networks. Standard network rates will apply.
